Maize: An October Story
My Book Club Reading List Top 10 Romantic Heroes My favorite quote from Charles Dickens is "There is a wisdom of the head, and ... a wisdom of the heart." It implies that these are two separate things. I love literary fiction and romance and westerns and science fiction. Sometimes I want to think, sometimes I want to feel. Sometimes I am lucky enough to find books that make me both think and feel. I wish I had a catalog of all the books I’ve read or am reading. In books, there can be wisdom of the head and the heart at the same time. My favorite books are Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Beloved by Toni Morrison, The Hours by Michael Cunningham, Frankenstein by Mary Shelly, The Red Tent by Anita Diamant, Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card, Paradise by Judith McNaught, The Raven Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt, Suddenly You by Lisa Kleypas. Too many more to name. Reading is the only true indulgence we have as humans. Food we need. Sleep we need. We have a biological imperative to do all sorts of silly things, but reading is not one of them. If you are here, then I know you like books too. Check out what's going on in my reading group and our ever growing to be read list. If you are interested in reading romance and don't know where to start try my Top 10 Romantic Heroes list! I've also added two free reads: Maize and Wait For Midnight. This way you can't say I never did anything for you. Happy Reading. |
